YUKON RAIL AND BUS This was all day almost 9 or 10 hours trip. First we started on the mini bus/van - it was very comfortable seating; and our driver/guide was very personable, friendly, and had great sense of humor! He was wealth of knowledge about Alaska, shared interesting stories and anegnotes during the trip. We had tasty lunch at a 'covered wagon' which both my husband and I had fun doing so. They the train ride back to Skagway was relaxing and the scenery passing by was just breathtaking.

Great customer service Booked the Yukon rail and bus tour many months ago, before the Corona virus. Our cruistour to Alaska was cancelled by Princess, so I called to cancel. They had me email the request. I did it on Tuesday April 14th, they called Wednesday April 15th to confirm and credit went on my credit card that same day. Excellent service. Am rebooking another cruise, and will definitely book with them again.

Wonderful Owners Because our cruise was cancelled due to Covid-19 we requested a refund from Chilkoot Charters for our railway excursion. Although the owners were going through extreme conditions, including the loss of at least several month's income, they were extremely courteous. They processed our refund right away. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone searching for an excursion in the area.

Yukon Bus Tour with Dog Cart Ride I know a lot of reviews insist that you have to take the train but we decided to go with the Chilkoot Charters bus tour from the cruise port to the Yukon territory and back. This tour with Chilkoot included lunch at Caribou Crossing and a dog cart ride (it was summer, no snow). Heidi was our guide, she was right there to greet us when we walked off the ship. It turned out to be just our party, 3 of us, on the way up since everyone else took the train. This was awesome because Heidi was able to stop wherever we wanted, including a coffee stop in town. Her knowledge of the area was amazing and we had the BEST time. Lunch was great too, the food was so good and they had a vegetarian choice for my picky teen. The dogs were so much fun. We got to play with the puppies and take as many pics as we wanted. Highly recommend Chilkoot, great service from the time of booking till we were returned to the ship!

Fantastic White Pass Summit Rail and Bus Excursion This really is a must-do in Skagway. With Brian as our tour guide, we took the train from Skagway to Fraser, Yukon where Brian met us and drove us back on an alternate route so we could see much more on the way back. Brian was outstanding; very knowledgeable; very humourous and very easy to work with. Quite a character. And fluent in both American and Canadian :-). The scenery and the stories surrounding this trek are extraordinary and unforgettable. Absolutely a MUST!

White Pass Train and Yukon Excursion We took this tour during our September Alaska Cruise. We were fortunate to experience an absolutely beautiful warm sunny day in Skagway. The train ride from Skagway to Fraser was fantastic with the most beautiful scenery. From Fraser we headed to the Yukon to Carcross and Emerald Lake. The bus ride through the Yukon was absolutely beautiful with the fall foliage in full bloom. On our travels to the Yukon we stopped at Carcross Crossing for a BBQ chicken lunch. The lunch was ok, but the donuts were really good. It was nice to walk around but very touristy. Our tour guide James was wonderful. He is an Irish soul and a wonderful story teller. His story telling engaged your imagination and created a personal thread to each story he told. Thank James for making this trip so enjoyable.

Yukon and White Pass train excursion The wife and I were lucky enough to take an Alaskan cruise in Sept 2019. The one excursion that I knew I had to do was the White pass train. There is a lot of charter companies out there but our experience with Chilkoot was great. We booked on our own which saved us money over the ship tours. Morgan was our tour guide and was great. He knew where to stop to get the best pictures and his knowledge of the area was outstanding. Well worth the money!! Great job Chilkoot.

Jenny was Awesome I recently had the pleasure of going on an Alaskan Cruise, and the excursion I was able to do while in Skagway was the train ride, and bus tour into the Yukon up to Carcross and a little beyond. The first part was the best train ride I have ever been on, with some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I didn’t think the day could get any better, but I was proven wrong. I, along with my fiancée and the other members of the group I was traveling with, had the pleasure of riding a small bus with the most entertaining and informative tour guide I have ever met. Her name was Jenny. We laughed almost the entire way with her stories and information she derived in a style that was just perfect. She had the entire bus participating and never missed a beat. If anyone who goes to this beautiful part of the country, pray you get a Jenny, a tiny red haired girl from New Jersey. She was the highlight on an already awesome trip. As beautiful as it was just enjoying the sites, it was definitely topped by the entertaining ride with Jenny!!!

White Pass Train and Yukon Tour We took this trip during our September Alaska Cruise. The train ride was great from Skagway to Fraser(something I would only do once as it is nice to see), in Fraser we boarded a small bus(way better than the big coach buses), and travelled to Carcross Crossing for Chicken dinner. Dinner was good but not fabulous. It was nice to see the Huskies, and walk around, but it was not anything special. We made a stop in Carcross town, again, nothing special. The scenic stops were wonderful along the way. Thank you Jennie for making this trip informative and enjoyable, you know how to make visitors welcome!
