Your train journey will be aboard a passenger parlor car on the famous White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. You will be entertained with narrated commentary so as not to miss out on all of the historic points of interest along the Trail of 98.

The bus portion of this excursion is not to be missed as your experienced tour guide entertains you while you travel on the Klondike Highway making stops along the way so that guests can take in the natural beauty of our area and have ample opportunities for those memorable photos.

We also stop at Caribou Crossing Trading Post where a BBQ chicken lunch with coleslaw, baked potato, homemade roll and all-you-can-eat cake donuts awaits you as well as “FREE ADMISSION” to the Yukon Wildlife Museum, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Museum and the Husky Puppy Camp! Dogcart rides can be purchased separately upon arrival at the lunch facility if seating is still available.

Upon your return to Skagway you will be entertained by professional guides with their amusing stories of local lore and captivating tales of the Gold Rush Era. Complimentary drop off service is provided in town or at the cruise ship docks upon the conclusion of your tour.

This tour operates in reverse order with a bus first option except on Sundays.

Historical Train Information
Built in 1898 during the Klondike Gold Rush, this Scenic Railway of the World was designated as an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark (along with the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty). The 3-foot wide Narrow Gauge Railroad climbs almost 3,000 feet in the first 20 miles with an average grade of 2.6%, and up to 3.9% in some locations. It also passes through 2 tunnels and travels over sky high trestles and bridges. Comfortable restored and replica passenger coaches are pulled by vintage diesel locomotives.
